If you care even a little bit about being able to see the stage, make sure you get to Terminal 5 early. The area immediately in front of the stage is a cavern, and while the venue boasts solid acoustics, shows are often sold out and you won’t have a great view of the stage from nearly the entire bottom floor. Ditto for the second floor, my favorite place to post up in this venue is against these railings (also, the second floor bar is ALWAYS easier to get to than the main bar). This area gets crowded as well though, so make it an overall rule of thumb to arrive before the music starts. The good news is that there is usually food on sale on the third floor and the booking is rock-solid: many opening acts here would headline a smaller Bowery Presents venue.
