New York’s own Cymbals Eat Guitars have been around for about five years now, with two very solid albums under their belts. So it’s a little surprising (and AWESOME) that they’re playing at Shea Stadium this Saturday, a venue that is quite small in comparison to where they last played, Webster Hall, in January. We’re not sure how The Bomber Jacket was able to pull this one off, but you should join them to see Cymbals in an intimate space and celebrate the blog’s one year anniversary. Plus… we’re going to send two lucky winners there FOR FREE! Scroll down to find out how!
With influences like Pavement and Sonic Youth, Cymbals Eat Guitars are the perfect band to see at a a DIY-punk heavy space like Shea. And they’re supported by grungey rockers Grooms (who give me Modest Mouse vibes), as well as the catchy Pretty & Nice, and Maquina Supervium.
Win or lose, there is FREE BEER from 8-9. Delicous Brooklyn Brewery beer too!
