NRMAL & Todd P Unveil Final Festival Lineup

We’ve already heard a lot about the Festival NRMAL lineup, but today we learned that the roster you see above is FINAL for the fourth edition of Todd P’s Monterrey, Mexico festival. And it’s pretty impressive, with the likes of Ariel Pink’s Haunted Graffiti, Twin Shadow, DIIV, Sky Ferreira, Mykki Blanco, Laurel Halo, Parquet Courts, Mac DeMarco and much MUCH more. Especially when you factor in the low, low LOWWWWWWWWW cost of a festival pass…. just $25, which basically offsets whatever transportation and lodging costs typically incurred when traveling to an international music festival.

If that’s not enough, check out this festival mixtape:

Curated by Todd Patrick, aka Todd P, and Mexican promoters NRMAL, the festival is a fiercely independent, all-ages and affordably priced event. Started in 2010, Festival NRMAL allows fans a rare opportunity to see the most exciting emerging bands and artists coming out of the underground scenes in Mexico, USA, Chile, Canada, UK, Argentina, Costa Rica, Australia, Venezuela and Spain, creating a uniquely diverse coming-together of multilingual music cultures. “Monterrey is Mexico’s closest major city to the United States, yet because of restrictive USA immigration visa policies, many Latin American bands and music fans aren’t able to make it to the U.S. to attend festivals like SXSW,” says Todd Patrick. “Hosting a festival like FESTIVAL NRMAL over the border — in Mexico — has a special urgency to us, especially now.”

Festival NRMAL will also include art galleries curated by conceptual artists, as well as on-site installations and space interventions by national graphic and industrial designers, photographers, illustrators and urban artists. Plus a design and arts & crafts market, and a collection of Mexican zines and self-edited publications for sale.
