The Soft Moon have a distinct, dark, haunting post-punk sound. It’s a good one for the season, where battling cold wind and rain (barely any snow so far) is common and you want something entrancing and bleak at the same time to get you where you’re going. Today they’ve shared a fittingly fuzzy video for breathy “Die Life,” off last year’s solid Zeros.
They play TONIGHT, headlining an intriguing double bill at Mercury Lounge with Majical Cloudz, whose EP Turns Turns Turns is out this month (listen to 2 tracks here). Tickets for Mercury Lounge are still available. I’ll see ya there!
