Shows On Sale

Indians, a solo project of Copenhagen native Søren Løkke Juul, started out as a means for a creative outlet. The project quickly grew from there. Juul released his first single as Indians in February of this year and started touring all over the world shortly thereafter. I saw Indians at Brooklyn Bowl during CMJ and was thoroughly impressed. Juul brings forth a tender sincerity to his music that translates well on stage. Indians is set to release his debut album on January 29th, check out his latest single “Cakelakers” and grab your pre-sale tickets today at noon or regular tickets on Friday for his Mercury Lounge show on March 7th.

Brooklyn based indie rockers Beach Fossils are headlining what is set to be a killer show at Bowery Ballroom on February 23. Started in 2009 as a solo project by Dustin Payseur, it capitulated into a full fledged cult phenom. The now three piece group, after losing member John Peña to Heavenly Beat and Cole Smith to DIIV, recently announced the release of their sophomore album. Clash The Truth will be released on February 19th, listen to the debut track “Careless” and grab pre-sale tickets at noon today.

Shout Out Louds released their debut track “Blue Ice” last week on a record made of ice. No you didn’t read that wrong, the record is completely made of ICE. Now that’s good advertising if I ever saw it. Optica will be out February 26 followed by a full fledged tour. Check them out at Music Hall of Williamsburg on March 11 and Webster Hall on May 10th, grab your pre-sale tickets at noon today.

So….Alt-J are great. The Brit rockers released their debut album, An Awesome Wave, in September. It even went on to win a Barclaycard Mercury Prize this year. The album beautifully mixes a variety of genres to form a completely new style of music. Call it synth pop, call it indie rock whatever you call it, the group has found their niche. Songs “Fitzpleasure“, “Breezeblocks” and “Tessellate” showcase their style well. Grab your pre-sale tickets for the group’s March 22nd show at Webster Hall at noon this Thursday. Don’t miss out on this show, it will sell out. I’m calling it now.

Make sure to keep a look out for the shows going on sale on Friday if you can’t get pre-sale today.
